Today, I stand as a graduate of Niles West High School. We did it everyone…we made it.

DECA NATIONALS BABY!
DECA SLC 2012 :D
This is the 1st time in a long time that I have the time to blog about something, and this one is very dear to me: DECA Nationals to Salt Lake City. Fair Warning this will be long lol :)
Day One
It was and adventure to get to the airport. I lied to my parents and I told them I was going to Carbondale, IL for 6 days. They would never let me got on a plane to SLC for 6 days lool. So at 4am I piled my bags into a car and my dad drove me to West. I sat at west for 20 mins. When I walked out of school…my dad was still there. I told him to leave and I ran to the back of school to take a taxi to o’hare. Total Rush! When I got to the airport it got bad…I lost my ticket, I was hot, I was scared. The plane ride wasnt any better. All my DECA friends were saying “the plane will crash” -__-
When I got to SLC, IT WAS BEAUTIFUL! The mountains were snow covered but it was nice down where I was. When we saw our cab, it was full of people. The driver told me teacher “sorry life sucks”…..in her words she went “southside chicago on him” He apologized to us hahah The hotel was a nice place. I shared a room with my friend Bogdan and Jay. We went on a tour and just chilled.

Day Two
Wake up at 6am for breakfest (made my own waffles :) )
Went skiing at 7am….it was freaken cold. Everyone was falling haha. I went on this really cool tram ride up to the top. Best view ever.
This day was also the opening day. Every state had 2 different objects that light up and State pins. We are suppose to trade them so we can network. There were light up swords, hats, wands, etc…I had light up gloves and glasses and they were cool as hell! The opening event was the best! The CEO of Men’s Warehouse was there with a great speech, and Jabberwocky was THERE OMG THE BEST! :D
This was also the night my friend Bogdan woke up at 3am and started laughing for no reason haha.
Day 3
ITS COMPETITION DAY!
6am breakfest
Stephanie and I spent all morning shower, prepping, and looking good! We get to the convention center at hour before. Stephanie and I were so ready to go! Our presentation went well…but our judge was fob and quiet as hell! We went go karting on this day….long story short I crashed -_____-
Day 4
No one from West advance on to the finals, but we all went shopping after in the best mall in the world! Then we went bowling ( i did awful) This was also movie night….picture 12 kids in 1 hotel room watching a sex based movie (hot tub time machine hahah)
Day 5
Our teachers are the best they treated us to Cheese Cake Factory! OMG :D lool…and the night ended better when Bogdan, Liz, Steph, and I got Awards of Excellence.

I’m on my way to Nationals at SALT LAKE CITY for DECA!!! 5 nights, 6 days! I’m soo excited!!! :)
